Tim and Darla Klopfenstein have known since they met in 1979 that there is something more to this life in the here and now, than they were experiencing in their everyday life.  They found that in every area of their lives they had a hunger for excellence.  Relationship and hunger didn’t always manifest in beauty as they worked out how to do life, marriage, kids, job, church, family and business.  They searched and struggled to find fulfillment in so many different areas, coming up short all too often.  God was always a part, but not in the correct position that He had desired to be in, according to His Word.

In 1989, the hunger became a burden and the Lord set the stage for drawing out of them the reason they live, thus they went through some major shifting and shaking in their lives and marriage. It felt like it was the toughest of times.  Yet now looking back, they can say it was God’s mercy that took them on that journey of working out where they stood with the Him and with each other.  It was the Lord solidifying who He desired to be in their lives.  He longed to be embedded deep into the fiber of their hearts and lives.  They each were crying out for more of the Lord and He was answering that cry…. just not in the way that they thought it should be, but how He saw them.  He was growing them in strength and character as they walked through these times in their lives.

In 1991 the Lord led them to Genesis 26:22 where Isaac reopened the wells of his father Abraham.  It was the third well that was given the name Rehoboth where there was “no quarrelling”.  Isaac named that well saying, “…Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land” (NIV).   The Lord gave the Klopfenstein family an assignment of restoration even as God restored them.  Thus, Rehoboth Restorative Ministries was birthed.  Throughout the years, God has used this ministry to reach out to countless individuals, both in the Body of Christ and those not yet in the Body, to bring healing and restoration to those who are broken and hurting.

After years of serving in various ministries in church and business, the Lord released the Klopfenstein family into full-time ministry launching them in January 2006.  Since that time, their primary focus has been to take their place in worship and intercession for the breaking in of the Kingdom of God by serving as Intercessory Missionaries at the International House Of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri.  Additionally through Rehoboth Restorative Ministries, the body of Christ has been encouraged and strengthened through conference ministry as well as in house meetings in the central United States.

The Klopfenstein’s are the proud parents of seven terrific children.  They have one wonderful son-in-law, and four beautiful grandchildren.  Their daughter and son-in-law, along with their four children, live in western Nebraska.  Their eldest son lives in Lincoln, Nebraska with the five remaining children living at home with mom and dad.

Their passion is to know this man Jesus and to walk closer to Him and with Him everyday.  They long to see the restoration of God’s Kingdom here on the earth and to call the Body of Christ to wholeness in loving God with all their heart, mind, soul and strength and to love one another as they love ourselves (Mark 12:29-31).  They have a desire to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).
